Before we found out that we were pregnant, we planned to head to England immediately following Ben's graduation for both of us to earn PhDs in something like Philosophy or The Hisory of Ideas. We had also entertained thoughts of joining AmeriCorps in order to have our student loans forgiven. However, now that we have received the gift of Sophia, our vision has been shortened and stretched in new directions. 

 

Jen finished her masters degree (MCS -- Masters in Christian Studies) in April and is now looking for jobs that she can do from home while caring for Sophia. Ben is taking two classes this summer as well as researching and writing his thesis proposal which is due in September. Ben should finish his thesis (on the Oxford Movement and the relationship between Church and State) by April 2010. We may stay in Vancouver for a number of years, or we may try to move nearer to family, or we may head to Oxford... Or, something other?  Beyond that, we expect very good things.
